Room properties, by text
Room dimensions, finish schedule, occupancy load, FF&E plan — half a dozen properties the field needs constantly, all in different parts of Procore + Autodesk. Forward pulls them all on one text.
The data that lives in three different places
A simple foreman question — “what’s the ceiling height in room A300” — has its answer scattered across at least three parts of the project record:
- Architectural finish schedule — usually a separate PDF, often named A0.something, that lists each room with finish-schedule data.
- RCP (reflected ceiling plan) — a drawing series (usually A-2xx) that shows the ceiling height per zone.
- Sometimes a separate room-data spreadsheet— especially on healthcare, lab, and tenant-fit-out jobs.
The foreman wants one answer. The data takes 5 minutes to retrieve manually.
What Forward does for room queries
Foreman texts the room number. Forward queries the connected project's finish schedule + RCP + room-data spreadsheet, joins on the room ID, and texts back the composite answer:
Foreman: ceiling height in A300? Forward: Room A300 — Conference Room Ceiling height: 10'-0" (per RCP A-201, zone 3) Floor area: 484 sf Occupancy: Business (B) Floor finish: Carpet tile CT-2 Wall finish: Paint P-1 Ceiling: Acoustic tile AT-1, 2x2 grid Open RFIs: None on this room Sources: A-201 (RCP), A-103 (finish schedule)
The useful query shapes
- By single property — “ceiling height in A300”
- Composite — “room data for A300” (returns the full record)
- By floor — “every room on level 3 with carpet finish”
- By occupancy — “every Assembly-occupancy room and its FF&E count”
- Conflict check — “rooms where the RCP and finish schedule disagree on ceiling height”
How to try it
