Forward
Product

One number. Source-linked answers. PM-gated drafts.

Forward sits between your field workforce and your Procore + Autodesk Construction Cloud project data. Workers text questions in plain English; Forward retrieves the answer, replies with the source (RFI #, sheet, spec section), and queues any RFI / observation drafts for your PM to approve before anything posts back to the system of record.

The flow

  1. 1
    The field texts a number

Your super, foreman, or sub texts the number you provision for their project. No app, no login, no menus. Plain English — “send a-301,” “what did rfi 142 say,” “ceiling height in 312.”

  2. 2
Forward retrieves from Procore + Autodesk

The orchestrator pulls only the specific RFI, drawing, spec section, room property, or submittal needed to answer the question — never bulk-exports your data. Citations are attached to every reply.

  3. 3
Reply lands as iMessage or SMS

Whatever your worker’s phone supports. Median answer under 12 seconds. If we’re not confident, we say so and route the question to your PM rather than guess.

  4. 4
    Drafts queue for PM approval

When the field asks Forward to draft an RFI or observation, we draft it and put it in your PM’s approval queue. One click reviews and posts to Procore as the PM’s user. The worker gets a notification with the RFI number when it lands. Nothing reaches your system of record without a human in the loop.

What Forward can answer

Pulled directly from the data your team already lives in. Every reply ends with the source a PM can verify in two taps.

RFIs

Status of any RFI by number, full text of the answer, who responded and when, and the drawing or spec it references.

Drawings

Send a sheet by number (“send A-301”), get the latest revision back as MMS. We track the revision history so the field never works off a stale set.

Submittals

Status by spec section (“submittal status for 09 51 13”), ball-in-court, next milestone date, attached approved cut sheets.

Spec sections

Read the actual spec text by CSI section. Useful for redline reviews and on-the-fly fabrication questions.

BIM room properties

Ceiling heights, finishes, area, adjacent rooms, equipment lists — pulled from your federated Autodesk model. Foremen don’t need a Revit license to ask.

Panel schedules + equipment

Panel schedules from the E-series, mechanical equipment schedules, plumbing fixtures — structured queries against what’s on the drawings.

Photo identification

Field user texts a photo of a panel, fixture, or piece of equipment. Forward matches against the approved submittal log and replies with the matching submittal + spec section + sheet.

Daily logs + observations

Pull recent daily-log entries, manpower counts, weather. Search open observations by trade or area.

Drafting (RFIs + observations)

Field can ask Forward to draft an RFI or observation directly from the conversation — with the right project, spec reference, and photo if attached. PM approves before posting.

Refusal-over-guess

If Forward can’t answer with a source — or the question requires engineering judgment, code interpretation, or a safety call — we say so and escalate to your PM. We never bluff.

How Forward stays accurate

The biggest reason construction teams hold back on AI is fear of a wrong answer leading to a real-world mistake. Four guardrails close that gap.

Every answer linked to its source

Every reply tells you exactly where the answer came from — RFI number, sheet rev, spec section, BIM source. The field can verify in two taps before they act on it. No source, no answer.

Refuses over guesses

If Forward isn’t confident, we say so and route the question to your PM or engineer of record. We’re explicit about not making structural, code, or safety calls from a text alone.

PM-gated writes

When the field asks Forward to draft an RFI or observation, we draft it and queue it for your PM. Nothing posts to Procore until your PM approves. Your system of record stays clean and accountable.

No training on your data

We retrieve your project data at query time to answer the question, then forget it. Your Procore and Autodesk content is never used to train any AI model — ours, Anthropic’s, or anyone else’s.
