Material tracking, by text
The single most-disruptive supply-chain question on every project: 'when does the thing arrive?' Forward reads from the Procore commitments + delivery schedule and answers the foreman's text in seconds.
The cost of guessing
Pour Friday cancelled because the rebar didn't show. Crew stood down for half a day. Sub claims they confirmed the delivery; super remembers a different conversation.
Forward eliminates the “did they confirm?” question by giving every party the same instant answer:
Foreman: when's the rebar delivery for the level 3 slab? Forward: PO 24-118 — Rebar (Glen Steel) Item: #5 bar, 4,200 LF + #4 bar, 1,800 LF Confirmed: Friday 5/16, 7:00-9:00 AM Last status: Tracking on schedule (5/13 update) Driver: Marco Pereira (cell on file) Delivery PM: Sarah Chen Sources: Procore commitment 118, sub status board
What Forward reads
- Procore commitments (purchase orders + sub agreements)
- Delivery schedule from each sub’s status updates
- Procore daily-log delivery entries
- Sub-provided status board if integrated (BOL tracker, etc.)
Auto-flagging slipped deliveries
If a sub updates their delivery commitment, Forward auto-flags the change to the GC PM + the field foreman whose work depends on it. The flag captures the original commit + the new date + the reason given.
This is upstream from the sub-coordination workflow at /use-cases/sub-coordination: material-tracking creates the commitments that sub-coordination then enforces.
How to try it
Drop your email above for early-access. Material-tracking works best on a connected Procore project with commitments + delivery schedule populated; the bot picks up everything already there on the OAuth connect.
