Closeout binder assembly, by text
Project closeout is where six months of organizational sin gets reckoned with. Forward assembles the binder by walking the connected systems and producing a single packaged PDF — O&M manuals, submittals, warranties, sign-offs, all sourced.
Why closeout is the worst part of every project
Six months into the project, the GC’s ops team realizes nobody has been collecting the documents that will end up in the owner’s closeout binder:
- Equipment O&M manuals (scattered across the mech sub’s submittals)
- As-built drawings (theoretically marked up by the foreman, in practice often missing)
- Warranty letters (from each sub, dated, signed)
- Inspection sign-offs (AHJ, owner-rep, project closeout walkthrough)
- Final pay app + lien releases
- Approved submittals + RFI history
Pulling it all together at closeout is a 40-80 hour project manager-task. The OAuth-connected systems hold most of it already — they just don’t package it.
What Forward does for closeout
PM texts “closeout binder for project X”. Forward walks the connected Procore + Autodesk + OneDrive, identifies every document that belongs in the binder (matched against the standard closeout checklist + any owner-specific overrides), and packages them into a single labeled PDF.

Forward flags missing sections + auto-drafts an email to the responsible sub asking for the missing item. PM reviews the draft + sends. Six-week closeout cycle collapses to ~3-5 days.
