Autodesk Construction Cloud integration
Forward connects to your Autodesk Construction Cloud account (Build, BIM 360, or both) via the standard Autodesk Platform Services (APS) OAuth flow.
What Forward reads from Autodesk
- Sheets (current revision, sheet collection, drawing log by date)
- RFIs (search, status, response, assignee)
- Submittals (CSI division filter, status, reviewer)
- Issues (location, trade, status, reporter)
- Project metadata (location, contacts, roles)
Forward picks the right source automatically when both Procore and Autodesk are connected — sheet pulls hit Autodesk by default; RFI status hits whichever system holds that workflow on the project.
APS OAuth + permissions
- 3-legged OAuth flow with your Autodesk account; Forward never sees your password.
- Scopes requested: data:read (sheets/issues/RFIs/submittals) plus account-level scopes the connected user account holds.
- Revoke at any time from your Autodesk account → Apps. Revocation terminates Forward’s access immediately.
Setup time
~30 minutes of OAuth + scoping. Account-admin-level permission required on your Autodesk side to grant the initial token; we’ll walk through it on the call.
Dual-connect with Procore
The common large-GC pattern is Procore for the PM workflow (RFIs, submittals, daily logs) + Autodesk Construction Cloud for design + sheets. Forward connects to both; field-foreman queries route to whichever system holds the authoritative answer. See /vs/procore + /vs/autodesk-build for the positioning detail.
