What is Qualified lead?

definition
A qualified lead is a contact that matches a defined ideal customer profile (ICP) and is reachable — but the term only means something when the qualification criteria are explicit and checkable.

"Qualified" is the most disputed word in B2B because everyone defines it differently. A checkable definition specifies role/title, industry, company size, geography, exclusions (suppression lists), and contact deliverability — so each lead can be verified against it mechanically and disputes become data instead of arguments.

At Forward, you write those criteria in the brief, and a lead only bills if it matches every filter, has a verified-deliverable contact, isn't a duplicate, and isn't on your suppression list. Copy-paste a definition with the acceptance-criteria generator.
