Forward for property developers
As an owner / developer you have skin in every dollar of every project — but you don't have time to learn three GCs' Procore configurations. Forward gives you one phone number that texts answers across every active project: RFI status, change-order exposure, schedule float, draw status.
The developer's information problem
Mid-size commercial developers run 3-15 active projects at any given time, often spread across 2-5 different general contractors. Each GC runs their own instance of Procore (or Autodesk Build, or ProjectMates). Each instance has different permission settings, different naming conventions, different custom fields. Becoming proficient in all of them is a full-time job — one you didn’t hire for.
Today the workaround is asking the GC’s PM. The lag cycle is 4-12 hours. The signal-to-noise ratio drops every time the question goes through another human.
What Forward does for developers
Forward gives you a single phone number you text. For each GC that connects you (typically 30 minutes of OAuth on their end), Forward gets read-only access to that project’s Procore + Autodesk + OneDrive. You text the question; Forward figures out which project(s) you mean, queries the connected system(s), and replies with the cited answer.
Portfolio queries
Useful query shapes for the developer role:
- “Total open change-order exposure across all my active projects”
- “Which of my projects are 30+ days behind their last submittal sub-deadline?”
- “Aggregate RFI count by GC, open vs closed, last 30 days”
- “Schedule float on critical-path activities, all projects”
- “Owner pay-app status — who owes me a draw this month?”
Forward fans the query across the projects in your access scope, aggregates the answers, and returns a phone-friendly rollup. Same query on each GC’s dashboard would be a screen-share session per project.
The read-only scope
Developers get a read-only-by-default scope. You can see RFIs, change orders, submittals, drawings, schedule activity, daily logs. You cannot post or modify anything in the GC’s system — those writes stay where they belong (with the GC’s PM team via the approval queue).
Forward’s OAuth grant is per-GC, per-project, revocable. Your developer entity doesn’t need a Procore seat on every GC’s account; Forward’s grant is the access path.
How to try it
Drop your email above and tell us how many active projects you’re running. We’ll scope a pilot starting with the GC most willing to connect; expand from there as the value pattern shows up.
Or text +1 (682) 300-6750 to try the demo against a synthetic project right now.
Try Forward right now
Drop your email above for early access — or skip the form and text +1 (682) 300-6750 from your phone. The live demo answers anything you can ask a project manager in plain English — no signup needed.
